I need to send a car exhaust to Germany.  Does anyone know the cheapest method / carrier?

Under the bar
We us Interlink (DPD) by road.
24euro per kg up to 5kgs 1.10euro per kg after that (excluding VAT)
Max size is 175cm long,
Girth 300cm
Girth = length + (2 X width) + (2 X height)

So you could send a package 175cms long X 30cms X 30cms.
Tight enough i'd say with an exhaust

You'll have to price a few different couriers. The place I work for does business all over the world and we have different couriers for each region. We seldom use Interlink and if we do it would only be for stuff inside Ireland. For mainland europe try DHL, FedEx or TNT. If you know someone working in a manufacturing company ask them to send it for you and you pay them back. Big companies will have deals with the couriers for cheaper prices, the private customer will get rode by the couriers. That exhaust might work out expensive though as i'd imagine it is bulky. You could be aswell to fly over with it if you got a really cheap flight.

I find DHL (Drop it Hide it Lose it) very expensive for europe.
80 euro for a 2kgs package from italy last month. TNT 35euro for same part from same supplier this week!!

You right about getting a company to ship it for you. 35-50% cheaper than the ordinary Joe

This would be the cheapest and quickest method ;

Is it a special, non standard exhaust?  Could it not be bought in Germany?  In the world of the internet, could it not be ordered from Germany and gett the manufacturer to do the dirty work?
