Don't think i know him - whats his record like?

is mick lyons not involved with NOM ?
meath panelist in late 80's early 90's, prob 40 years old this year, played for dunderry, joined (and left) the Christian brothers.
Has been doing a bit of managing for the past couple of years heard good things about him.
Doesnt like being called 'drugsy' !

still think davy nelson would be the best man meath could get!

Davy nelson - you are having a laugh!!! What has achieved in recent years????

No outstanding candidate - Sean Kelly would be a good choice, would not be over the moon about either O'Brien or Dempsey. Our problems in Meath unfortunately go well beyond the difficulty in finding a new manager.

Luke Dempsey's been linked with the Carlow job now. Another twist in the tale. Is anyone taking bets on this.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Jinxy

Good. No doubt there is some Carla tycoon who made his money in scallions willing to bankroll Luke.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Davy nelson left to go off to the high flying world of Financenow that the crew he works for are going to be on a hold pattern for the next couple of years, Davy will prob get back tothe old football scene again.
He may be small, but hes a smart hoor and exactly what Meath need imo.
Anyone I know from The OMahoneys has always spoke extremely highly of him.

I rem his teams were always well drilled ,fit, hard to play against and they were not that full of star men then either !

Luke Dempsey IS the Carlow manger now according to Newstalk 106.

So Who are we left with. Eamon O'Brien, Sean Kelly, Andy McAntee.......
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Jinxy

Phew! That was too close for comfort. They should give it to Sean Kelly with Andy Mc as a selector. Good cop, bad cop.

Monaghan senior championship with latton yesterday which is no mean feat - arguably only the 3/4 best team in monaghan

thebandit

Latton boys rate Nelson very highly.... they were going badly at the start of the year, didnt win a league match for a while.

Who was Liam Hayes alluding to in the Tribune yesterday?

Jinxy

I'd say it was either Joe Kernan or Jack O'Connor.
