I agree, how the hell can Portsmouth afford to pay over half a million euros a month to anyone - never mind an over-rated, over-the-hill, over-weight donkey like Campbell!
That was never a square ball!!

True, but he was nearly 32 and on the verge of a nervous breakdown when they bought him!!

Is it any wonder football has lost touch with the common man.
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

Good point about the italians, only Kaka on there from Serie A and thats probably to scare off Real Madrid who have been sniffing. Italy were the only European squad at the last world cup with all players home based. Perhaps top notch italians do not want to jeopordise a place in the Italian team by decamping to the premiership for big wages

How many games has Owen played for Newcastle??

Gees it would hurt you to be a Newcastle fan reading that.

You'd think given the number of English players on that they might have a better national team too.

Mind you Shevchenko ain't doing much for that money either. At least those two have, at some stage in time, been up there with the best of them but reading Darren Bent's wages  - it's just ridiculous. Highest paid player at Spurs and he's not even close to making the team!

Four Chelski players in the top 7 plus Drogba at 11, anywonder Chelsea will not break even anytime this century!!
