Right, I've to cobble together a few New Year special bets for Ladbrokes, and one of the things I was thinking off was a county-by-county thing in terms of Good Year/Bad Year. To give an example for Dublin, it would be:

1pt for every Championship win by Dublin Footballers, European or US Tour Win by Padraig Harrington and every match at the World Snooker Championships won by Ken Doherty

6/4  Bad Year (7pts or less)
9/4  Middling Year (8-10pts)
6/4  Good Year (11pts or more)

(This is just off the top of my head as an example by the way, not an offer, or the actual format it will take necessarily)

But of course I need to find sports stars for every county in order to do this - three or four at least. Any help in filling in the blanks (or adding others) would be useful. Here's my starting bid:

Cork - Roy Keane, Ronan O'Gara, Mick Fitzgerald, Derval O'Rourke
Kerry - Tadgh Kennelly, Jim Culloty
Tipperary - Shane Long, Jamie Spencer, Charlie Swan
Waterford - John O'Shea
Clare - Kieran Fallon
Limerick - Andy Lee, JP McManus, John Hayes, Marcus Horan
Armagh -
Antrim - Tony McCoy, Paddy Wallace, Nigel Worthington
Fermanagh -
Down - Rory McIlroy, Martin Clarke, David Healy, Tony Dobbin
Derry - John Duddy, Andrew Trimble
Tyrone - Aaron Hughes, Darren Clarke
Monaghan -
Cavan - Paul Brady
Donegal - Shay Given
Sligo -
Leitrim -
Roscommon -
Galway - Paul Hession
Mayo - Gavin Duffy
Longford -
Louth - Rob Kearney
Meath - Shane Horgan, Barry Geraghty, Johnny Murtagh
Westmeath -
Offaly - Pat Smullen, Girvan Dempsey
Laois - Colm Begley, Stephen Hunt
Carlow - Willie Mullins
Kilkenny - Gary Murphy, Ian Dowling
Wexford - Kevin Doyle, Gordon D'Arcy
Dublin - Bernard Dunne, Richard Hughes
Wicklow - Ed Joyce, Paul McShane
Kildare - Ruby Walsh, Geordan Murphy

All gap filling is welcome and appreciated!!

Thanks....

But unlikely to get too many games for Sarfields this year.

Surely Michael O'Connor is worth a bet of some sort.

Possibly Kevin Dyas to make an appearance in the AFL? Unlikely though I suppose in his first season.
