my pal is going to see Van halen in concert in Vegas at christmas !

Would love to see them live. They'll hardly bother coming over would they. Cant believe I pssed on the chance to see Aerosmith.
so would I, have not heard if they are touring outside of the states. Better still is that its the two Van halen brothers and Dave Lee Roth - with Wolfgan Van Halen (a son of one of the VH's) replacing bassist Michael Anthony.
Saw DLR in the point in dublin in 1991 - great gig, played all the old VH hits as well as his own hits. As close as I'll ever get to seeing VH !

Not sure about that. Joy Division/New Order, the Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen, U2, Springsteen, the Jam, Waterboys, Billy Bragg etc

I love this use of 'etc' by people. 'etc' could mean The Thompson Twins, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Tiffany, Corey Hart, Kenny Loggins, Mr. Mister . . .

CJH and Maggie Thatcher and all the crap that came with them. Altough it was a great time to be a child and have no opinion on these two.

The horror movies from the 80s may never be bettered.

Bat Out of Hell was in the 70's yes, but he was about in the 80s too.

Meatloaf made his comeback in the 90s too. Where was he in the 80s?

ziggysego

In my head. I wasn't around in the 70s.... well bar the last few weeks. I discovered him in the mid to late 80s.
