Aye, he's not great. They paid £10 Million for him as well. Massimo Taibi didn't exactly cover himself in glory when playing for united.

If you bought 10 keepers for £20k each, 5 of them would probably be better than Gomes.   Yes, Taibi was in the same category.

Gomes just looks like someone whose confidence is shattered. He's nervous all the time because of past mistakes and he is just waiting to make another. He was an excellent keeper with PSV, but if he hasn't worked his way through this slump by January, I'd say Redknapp will be replacing him. I feel sorry for him and hope he pulls it together.
