I agree i mean 3, 5,7,10,12,13 and 15 should never be on that team :P
Anyway, long story short... is a phrase whose origins are complicated and rambling.

I'd also have Karol Slattery at wing back instead of Anthony Moyles. Moyles is a grand lad, and I played ball with him in San Diego, but a wing back he ain't.

AZ

He would be on the bench with the likes of Brian Kavanagh, Mark Ward, Brian Murphy, Stephen Kenny, Mark Vaughan, Stephen Kenny

Forde didn't have a good championship I thought.....

Paddy Keenan is there to provide a 3 man midfield in order to try to dominate posession...this allows Whelan to bomb forward and also creates space for each of the forwards...

eamon o hara, ciaran macdonald and maybe ronan mcgarrity, connaught football has dropped badly this year.In a few years roscommon, galway and mayo will have new household names playing.Sligo and leitrim may have a few new lads too but not enough of them and they will suffer the declan browne syndrome.
Conor mortimer should be on any team but after the galway and derry games he cannot get my vote.

Surprised that Peter Canavan, Joe Kernan or even Greg Blaney didn't make it!!
