I'm surprised a thread hasn't been started regarding this. Apart from the three lads heading to the states, are the other withdrawals as a result of an internal row? It certainly looks like it.

That's a big loss for a small county - I take it these are the boys who didn't travel home with the rest of the panel afetr the last game?

They should never get a jersey again - I hope the Louth county committee stand by Mc Eneaney and get rid of these individuals - they are not needed and they should be told that -

Well said Orangeman,we in Cavan of course experienced the same thing a few weeks ago
Louth had every chance of progressing in the qualifiers,id have fancied them to take Limerick.
i dont know how any manager can pick these, players again knowing that they are liable to walk away.
Ive no problem with players going to the US,But they should have the decency to opt out of the panel at an earlier stage and let the management plan without them and call in replacements if necessary.

Hmmm. two of the six started in the last two games and one of those two wasn't a starter in their first two games so these lads are hardly central to the team. They are amatuers with a life to lead - gathering splinters outside a team that has probably shot it's bolt for this year doesn't do it. Get over it. Sligo made no fuss over two lads going last year and they are among their better players this year.  If you make it hard for them there are lots of other sports and teams thay can play (for)
come disagree with me on http://gushtystuppencehapenny.wordpress.com/ and spread the word

It all depends if Mc Eneaney is going to be manager next year - wouldn't it ?
