Spuds v Arsenal.

Brings back good memories of 20 years ago at the same stage...in the days when Arsenal took the cup seriously! (A young Niall Quinn played)

Arsene Wenger has picked a strong squad for the game at White Hart Lane. You couldnt really call it a second string with most of the out field players appearing regularly in the premiership this season.

Philippe Senderos, Alexander Hleb, Mathieu Flamini and Emmanuel Eboue come in for Johan Djourou (injured), Alex Song(international duty), Matthew Connolly and Henri Lansbury (suspended).

2. Abou Diaby
4. Francesc Fabregas
5. Kolo Toure
6. Philippe Senderos
9. Julio Baptista
13. Alexander Hleb
15. Denilson
16. Mathieu Flamini
21. Mart Poom
24. Manuel Almunia
27. Emmanuel Eboue
30. Jeremie Aliadiere
31. Justin Hoyte
32. Theo Walcott
43. Mark Randall
45. Armand Traore

Match delayed:

BBC

Tottenham v Arsenal
The Carling Cup semi-final between Tottenham and Arsenal has been delayed until 2015 GMT because of the Gunners late arrival at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham midfielder Teemu Tainio misses the game at White Hart Lane because of a sprained ankle.

Skipper Ledley King (bruised foot) is also out but Jermaine Jenas (ankle), Mido (groin) and Paul Stalteri (hip) have returned to full training.

Arsenal will continue to play a team of fringe and young players.

Theo Walcott should start after being rested against Manchester United but leading marksman Robin van Persie is out because of a fractured foot.

Reason: the Arsenal kids on the bus were annoying the driver by yelling every 10 seconds "ARE WE THERE YET?"

Spurs 1-0 - Berbatov header 12 mins
Their first victory over Arsenal (albeit youth team) since 1999?

Mmmm Spurs 2-0 Baptista OG.

This match (tie) could be over soon...

Spurs 2 Arsenal 0 at half time

I'd actually take that score back to the Emirates. Could've been a lot worse, although Baptista had a chance at the end. The young lads are struggling to cope with a side fiercely determined to reach the final.

2-1 Baptista on 64. Away goal crucial. I'd even take 3-1

2-2 Baptista. Away goals crucial. Would even take 5-2.

From the Bunker

Its 0-0 as away goals do not count in this competition. Spurs embarrassed, but what can you expect there is such a huge gap between the top 4 and the chasing bunch.

ONeill

That's odd as Arsenal went out of the competition at the semis on away goals last year.

Away goals only come into play after extra time in the second leg.
