Faithful Turfmen (1-1) 97.67 - 100.24 Mayo Mafiosi (1-1)
12 points proved to be not enough for the Turfmen as Vince Young led the Titans to a good win over the New Orleans Saints, throwing for 164 yards and 2 TDs, as against 1 INT for a total of 14.33 points and a 2+ point win over the Turfmen. The Mafiosi move on to 2-1, while the Turfmen struggle to shake an inconsistent start at 1-2.

Curragh Rams (2-0) 84.78 - 39.06 Ardboe Astros (1-1)
A done deal since Sunday night's games, the Rams move serenely on to a perfect 3-0 start, while the Astros will need to shake this poor performance quickly as they drop to 1-2.

Hegans Helmets (1-1) 98.63 - 72.36 shane oneills (1-1)
Brandon Jones (WR - TEN) had himself a very good night in the Titans' win on Monday, but his 73 yards and a TD grab were good for 11.65 points, and that was way short of the 38 the oneills would have needed to spring a surprise. The Helmets move on to a positive record at 2-1, while the shane oneills join the growing list at 1-2.

Crossmaglen Hitmen (1-1) 106.42 - 110.21 Ballyhaise Broncos (0-2)
Well, well, well. The Ballyhaise Broncos hold on for a great maiden win of the season as the Hitmen's 2 Monday night receivers fluff their lines in chasing just 7 points between them. Eric Moulds (WR- TEN) contributed just 2 points, while his comrade, Devery Henderson (WR - NO), managed even less with a meagre 1.05 points. Thanks to their quiet nights, the Broncos get off the mark at 1-2, while the Hitmen fall to the same mark.

Lurgan Langers (1-1) 83.00 - 133.83 Bet with Paddy Power(2-0)
As mentioned yesterday, Tennessee DB Michael Wadell was marked inactive for the Langers, and therefore gained 0 points, which means that Sundays score is a final, and the Bet With Paddy Power squad move on to 3-0, and for the 3rd week in a row have aaccumulated the top score of the week. There is a new big gun on the block without a doubt, and on this form they will take some stopping. The Langers drop to joing the logjam on 1-2.

Red Hand Helmets (2-0) 107.62 - 132.39 Mayo Warriors (0-2)
David Patten (WR-NO) barely registered last night for the Warriors, as he 'amassed' 0.80 points but it made absolutely no difference as they had already built up a big lead against the fully played out Red Hand Helmets, and the Warriors will be delighted to pick up their first win of the season and move to 1-2. The Helmet's 100% record goes out the window, and they drop to 2-1.

Craigyhill Terrors (2-0) 77.27 - 115.28 O'Neill's Chargers (1-1)
Another of the unbeatens falls as the Chargers' big lead was never in danger here. Olindo Mare (K-NO) gained 2 points for the Terrors, while Mark Simoneau (DL - NO) added 1.50 points of his own to the Charger cause. The Chargers join the Terrors on 2-1.

Sydney's Sailors (0-2) 77.36 - 97.40 Lummox Squad 57 (0-2)
There was no repeat of the Monday night horror show of Week 1 for the Lummoxes, as the three remaining Sailors barely made a dent in the big deficit facing them on Monday night. Tim Rattay (QB - TEN) was NA, and Donnie Hickey, (DB - TEN) returned 0 points. Marques Colston (WR - NO) only managed 5.40 points, and the Lummoxes were safe. The Sailors remain winless on the new season, but the Lummoxes move off the basement at 1-2.

GalwayImpactPlayers (1-1) 79.05 - 131.46 Cleveland Steamers (1-1)
Well Reggie Bush (RB - NO) *did* manage do post a healthy 17.75 points on Monday night, but the vast chasm seperating the teams would have required 4 times that to bridge the gap. The ImpactPlayers fall to 1-2, while a happy Steamers squad move on to 2-1.

L'Esprit de Biff (2-0) 109.93 - 75.83 Ruthless Rossies (0-2)
Ho hum indeed. Far from staging a late comeback with big players like Drew Brees(QB - NO) and Deuce McAllister (RB - NO), the Rossies actually fell further off the pace as 4 interceptions from Brees resulted in him damaging his team to the extent of minus 5.05 points, and the comeback was essentially dead in the water. Deuce only managed 0.80 points himself in a miserable Saints' performance, and in fact Roydell Williams (WR-TEN) turned out to be the Rossies top scorer of the night, albeit with only 2.80 points. The Biffs are plodding away in the shadow of the Paddy Power Squad, but join them and the Curragh Rams as the only 3-0 teams in the league, while the Rossies' bad start continues at 0-3

Quote from: Galwaybhoy on September 24, 2007, 11:23:20 PMMost of those throwback uniforms are rotten, the Steelers one from last weekend was awful as well.

i thought the steelers jersey was pretty cool. i liked the redskins (wk3) and 49ers (wk1) efforts so far as well

wats with all the throwback jerseys this year anyway? the jets are wearing blue and gold against Philadelphia in wk 6 to commemorate the days when they were the NY Titans

heganboy

This was nfl moneymaking week. The throwback jerseys are all sold on the nfl website (I saw that ad about 100 times Sunday) and as Dallas were playing on the live game, the ads for nflatino.com didn't stop all day. Half the ads were in Spanish, the cowboys jerseys were in spanish and the half time show was en espagnol. Even Gloria Estefan sang the stars and the stripes.a few more pesos in the nfl coffers.
I will post the ads tomorrow they are brutal...
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
