So you pretty much agree with Seanies point then?

Cunny Funt

1986 to 2013 Alex Ferguson missed 17 games due to touchline bans. Out of interest how many touchline bans has Jose Mourinho served in the premier league now?

magpie seanie

He has been charged 3 times as United manager already. Think he has been banned for 4 games at United alone.

A workmanlike 2-0 means Utd look forward to more Europa League footie in the spring. Should the chances of a top 4 finish not look any better in 10 weeks or so when it restarts they could do worse  than having a crack at winning it as a means of getting Champ League. The quality of competition is not as strong as in recent years with the 8 coming down from CL being no great shakes.

The problem with the Europa League is the amount of Games to win the Shagging thing. That coupled with Thursday night football in obscure venues and the short turn around to games on Sunday makes it a competition that can mess up your season!

All true but the point being if 4th was gonna be unattainable through the league it'd hardly be messing up the season by having a go at it

seafoid

Why would 4th not be doable?

Cause the teams above them are sooooo much better
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Top 4 is still well within reach.

The problem is when Top 4 is just about within reach in Spring. Then you have to decide what basket to put most of your eggs in!

Aye, in general English teams have made the choice to prioritise the Premier League when faced with that choice and I guess United would too..

Time to string together a run of wins in the league. Top 4 is of course doable. There are no world beaters in this league.

Signs are getting better the team are looking more and comfortable, if they can align more goals to the performances then that should do the trick.

Again last night totally dominate the ball against average opposition and didnt create that many clear cut chances. Pitch wasnt great to be fair but, the team should have created a lot more with the % possession.

I met a fella from Barcelona the other day and asked him how it was that Barcelona could continue to function after Pep left but Man Utd couldn't get over Fergie. He said they didn't want to lose Messi. And that they are very organised.

It's really like a continuation of this match.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

Barcelona might be in the early stages of disintegration themselves. Big debt, and rumblings coming out of the Camp Nou about Messi, Suarez and Neymar, and the coach.
