Well fair dues to whoever struck that deal.

Dublin GAA's full time marketing and commercial manager. How many counties have one of those on the payroll?

It's obviously paying for itself. So no brainier. Employ someone to find funding/sponsorship within your county..

Subaru sends congrats to Dublin GAA

'Subaru Ireland has congratulated Dublin GAA following the crowning of their Senior Footballers as Leinster Champions for the eight-successive year, writes Trish Whelan.

As vehicle sponsor to Dublin GAA, Subaru provides vehicles to some of the players and management of the Dublin senior football and hurling teams.

The Dublin players enjoy driving the 'go anywhere' life-style Subaru AWD vehicle range which includes Impreza, XV Crossover, Forester and Outback.

The football and hurling teams, including the Dublin Ladies, are benefiting from a Subaru Forester van to oversee the transportation of team kits around the country for the All Ireland Championships and National League games.'

Who get them and who doesn't? Some craic sorting that out.

Costello cleared to play. Amazing how shameless Dublin are in getting their players off the hook.

So why do Dublin need all that funding from HQ when they are running away with titles, have full time commercial employees and are poaching full time S&C from professional sports teams to take up equivalent roles in their setup.

Meanwhile all the other counties simply cannot afford to keep up with the standards Dublin are setting.

And which county is it the GAA continues to bankroll heavily.

The Sheriff of Nottingham would even get red faced at what you're defending here.

The footballers get them I'd imagine.

The likes of Brogan had been getting handed Volkswagen cars for a few years before that deal.

Shocking isn't. Wouldn't see any other club or county appeal a red card. Not a chance. I mean how often do you see red cards overturned for the most farcical reasons???

Again just so you say they have paid professionals on the team doesn't make it true.

Any county can pay a S&C coach, who you interview and award the post gets the job. Do Tyrone get their S&C for free? This really is a daft point

They are running away with titles because on finals day,  the team that they play,  just come up short, there's no 20 point win, like when Kilkenny stuffed Waterford or Limerick. The doom merchants were out then.

And you do a lot of assuming, the sponsorship is for Dublin GAA, it could be for both panels do that would be 70? Or is it just some?

Wexford hired a full time commercial manager and he has brought in the sponsors and sold naming rights on their ground. Amazing what counties can do when they show some initiative

I know that Subaru sponsor the Dublin team with free cars, some other players have their own arrangements with car dealerships for free cars.

No other county has an arrangement like this in place with a car brand.

It's part of the bubble Dublin GAA operates in.

How is that relevant? That's a bizarre statement, even for you. County Boards are allowed show initiative without relying on GAA HQ for all their funding/income
