Some of the garbage on the Discovery channels recently is awful, the likes of Ancient Aliens a show about how Aliens could have built everything but probably didn't

They did a big Sunday evening presentation on Mermaids here in the US a couple of years ago.

Don't know if that was the nadir, because I haven't switched it on since!

Their Animal Planet channel's big weekly event has been Finding Bigfoot.

I guess that's what a scientifically illiterate populace likes to watch.

Thank f**k for BBC Wildlife and PBS!

I'll save you the time of watching it, they don't find a big foot.

Unsurprisingly a deal has been reached, no channels will go off the air..

Cancel Sky; don't just threaten it, actually cancel it.  Don't take them up on any offers at that time.

Your service will continue for another 31 days.  During that time they WILL contact you asking you to stay.  I (and my brother) were both offered 60% off for the next 10 months.
Even if they don't contact you, you can ring them up on the 30th day of your notice period telling them that you have changed your mind.

There is nothing to lose, and a huge probability that you will (at least temporarily) cut your Sky bill in half.
