five points

He will most definitely be in the running, assuming he's interested.

Peter is the obvious choice. I have no interest in getting in an outside mercenary. Terry Hyland was successful because he took a holistic view of Cavan football and did what was right for it as a whole. For example he weakened his own hand by dedicating U21s to their own grade. Outsiders will not do that.

Cavan, have no forwards and need a plan based around that fact. Peter Reilly I think would be best suited to that task.

Eastmeath appoint Andy McEntee.

I prefer East Westmeath (as it seems to annoy folk from both counties  ;D )

Solid looking appointment - however I'm not sure there is a huge amount to work with there. Club scene in the county seems to be very flat.

Great to see the decision made so quickly.
Hope he gets a proper fitness coach as part of the ticket.
Either that or just let Gerry chase them around the dunes in Bettystown.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Malachy  O'Rourke reappointed to the stony grey soil.
Will that other Fermanagh man be reappointed in Donegal?

It's always a fitness coach isn't it. Why not a top skills coach as well?

Watch Dublin play and ask yourself if you could beat them without the highest level of fitness.

A Paddy Power spokesperson said: "We recently suspended the market on the back of a flood of bets on Dermot McCabe." The spokesperson said that should McCabe win, their payout would be "large for this type of market".

At the time of the suspension McCabe was 1/2, in from 16/1 when the book was first opened.

"Large for this type of market" translated from Paddypower PR spin probably means a few hundred quid.

Well it is Cavan we are talking about, not exactly known for spreading the wealth.
The fact that bets were coming from there probably spooked Paddy

What are chances of Cunningham getting Laois job?

More like what are the chances he's interested. He can walk into a few of the high profile hurling jobs with his record.

Would Ronan Carolan not be in the mix in Cavan?
