Here's my video report from the All Stars in Texas, another fast-growing area for Gaelic Games. They have football but they love their hurling. Pat from Limerick and Aidan from Antrim were like 'kids at Christmas to have the best hurlers in their town. There are a few All Stars interviewed in the video - Seamus Hickey & Eoin Murphy, and it starts with the All Stars coaching local kids. It then shows the Austin City Mayor throwing the ball in and being a 'little scared' when a stick broke in front of him, and overall the video is from the local club point of view - the Celtic Cowboys https://youtu.be/3uwfwncpwDw

There's a wee lad wearing a Portaferry jersey, his Da played for Portaferry before heading stateside in his early 20's, was on the Down Minor team beaten in an AI semi-final by Offaly back in the late 80's, Kevin McManus, sound lad.

Great report, Jerome. It was a good weekend all around. Always nice to have the convention and all- stars in the same town at the same time. I was very impressed by Austin. Very progressive for a Texas city.
