To round out the provinces, the following is the state of play in Munster

Waterford - A right mess. The final is fixed for October 25th, but for that to happen, there'll need to be games played every weekend, and even midweek. Hard to understand why this is given the county hurlers are out since August, and the footballers never really got going. It appears to be still in the group stages of the championship.

Cork - Semi Final Stage Carbery Rangers   v   Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven   v   O Donovan Rossa , both this weekend.

Kerry - Quarter Final Stage. All this weekend.

Legion versus Feale Rangers
Dingle versus South Kerry
Kenmare versus Laune Rangers
Dr. Crokes versus  Austin Stacks

Limerick - Semi Final Stage Ballylanders versus Newcastlewest and Dromcollagher Broadford versus Monaleen , both this weekend

Tipperary - Still in the early enough stages, which is still a real problem in Tipp. 'Preliminary' quarter finals have been played and the Quarter Final proper draw is on tonight.

Clare - Final Miltown Malbay versus Cooraclare

You have to admire Cork for getting their fixtures on time, if nothing else.

Commercials v loughmore this Weekend should be a cracker, hard to see past the winner to go on and win county.

Not getting to play in Croke Park in either code for the first time in years sure does help with getting the aul fixtures run-off  ;)

3 very good performances in the 1/4 finals in tipp. Arravale beat killenaule well, Moyle rovers hammered a shocking galtee and in the big one commercials won comprehensively against reigning champions loughmore. Commercials lost quinlivan early to a black card and he was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch. Big statement for the rest of the players to push on and dominate after that

Updates

In Cork, Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven will contest the final on Oct 18th. Nemo (and Tomás O'Sé) beat Carberry Rangers by a point (1-11 to 0-13) while Castlehaven beat O'Donovan Rossa 1-13 to 1-10.

Waterford still in flux, but at least it looks like they are nearly ready to move onto the knockout element. From afar it looks like two groups of 6, with the top 4 in each making a quarter final.

Kerry had 4 big games this weekend, but it wasn't the quarter finals as I said it was. We are in the quarter final stage now. The games this weekend saw Dr. Crokes take the scalp of Austin Stacks 1-11 to 1-10, with the Gooch again failing to deliver, just scoring 1-3, but only the winning goal from play. South Kerry hung on against Dingle 1-14 to 0-14. Kenmare hammered Laune Rangers 3-15 to 0-09, while Legion beat Feale Rangers by 2-10 to 1-11. The draw then produced the following quarter finals.

Sat Oct 10 @ 3pm – Kilcummin v South Kerry
Sat Oct 10 @ 4.30pm – Killarney Legion v Kerins O Rahillys
Sun Oct 11 @ 1.30pm – West Kerry v Kenmare District
Sun Oct 11 @ 3pm – Rathmore v Dr Crokes

In Tipperary, as Tippabu mentions, 3 of the 4 quarter finals are played, and the final one takes place Wednesday night as Eire Og Annacarty take on Aherlow Gaels (of Effin Eddie fame) Arravale, Moyle Rovers and Clonmel Commercials sit pretty in the semis.

Clare is waiting for the final between Cooraclare and Miltown Malbay.

Limerick had their semi finals this weekend, Newcastlewest beat champions Ballylanders by 3-11 to 2-4, and they will play Drom-Broadford, who beat Monaleen 1-13 to 2-6.

The first of November will see the Tipp Champions playing the Limerick Champions, in a Tipp venue.
The same date, the Waterford Champions will play the Cork Champions in a Waterford venue.

Then on the 15th November the Clare Champions will play the winners of Tipp and Limerick, at a Tipp or Limerick venue.
15th november will see the Kerry Champions taking on the Waterford or Cork Champions, in Kerry if it's Waterford, in Cork if it's Cork.

The Final is down for 29/11.

Kerry semi finals are set, as the quarters were played this weekend. Rathmore knocked out Gooch's Doctor Crokes 2-15 to 1-13; Kenmare beat West Kerry 1-15 to 0-11; South Kerry beat Kilcummin 0-14 to 1-8; while Legion beat Kerins O'Rahillys in a bit of a thriller, 4-9 to 1-15.

tippabu

The final everyone wanted in tipp, commercials Moyle rovers should be a cracker. Commercials aherlow was a terrible game the weekend but commercials did enough to get through and should get a much more open game in the final. Arravale v Moyle rovers was a brilliant open game and real enjoyable watch.

Croí na hÉireann

You have West Kerry down as beating Kenmare AZ
Westmeath - Home of the Christy Ring Cup...

AZOffaly

Apologies, other way around. Kenmare beat West Kerry by that score...

waterfordlad

Waterford won't have a county champion by 1 November anyway as some play offs have to be played before quarter finals even start. 3 teams finished on same points after group stages but because one of the teams The Nire I think got 2 points because their opponent conceded a walkover points difference can't be used to seed teams for quarters. It's a bit of a mess and not the first team the football championship won't be decided in time for Munster club.
