Waterford won't have a county champion by 1 November anyway as some play offs have to be played before quarter finals even start. 3 teams finished on same points after group stages but because one of the teams The Nire I think got 2 points because their opponent conceded a walkover points difference can't be used to seed teams for quarters. It's a bit of a mess and not the first team the football championship won't be decided in time for Munster club.

this isn't ment as a piss take or anything but it's not like there wasn't the time to get it played

Updates

In Cork, Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven will contest the final on Oct 18th. Nemo (and Tomás O'Sé) beat Carberry Rangers by a point (1-11 to 0-13) while Castlehaven beat O'Donovan Rossa 1-13 to 1-10.

Waterford still in flux, but at least it looks like they are nearly ready to move onto the knockout element. From afar it looks like two groups of 6, with the top 4 in each making a quarter final.

Kerry had 4 big games this weekend, but it wasn't the quarter finals as I said it was. We are in the quarter final stage now. The games this weekend saw Dr. Crokes take the scalp of Austin Stacks 1-11 to 1-10, with the Gooch again failing to deliver, just scoring 1-3, but only the winning goal from play. South Kerry hung on against Dingle 1-14 to 0-14. Kenmare hammered Laune Rangers 3-15 to 0-09, while Legion beat Feale Rangers by 2-10 to 1-11. The draw then produced the following quarter finals.

Sat Oct 10 @ 3pm – Kilcummin v South Kerry
Sat Oct 10 @ 4.30pm – Killarney Legion v Kerins O Rahillys
Sun Oct 11 @ 1.30pm – West Kerry v Kenmare District
Sun Oct 11 @ 3pm – Rathmore v Dr Crokes

In Tipperary, as Tippabu mentions, 3 of the 4 quarter finals are played, and the final one takes place Wednesday night as Eire Og Annacarty take on Aherlow Gaels (of Effin Eddie fame) Arravale, Moyle Rovers and Clonmel Commercials sit pretty in the semis.

Clare is waiting for the final between Cooraclare and Miltown Malbay.

Limerick had their semi finals this weekend, Newcastlewest beat champions Ballylanders by 3-11 to 2-4, and they will play Drom-Broadford, who beat Monaleen 1-13 to 2-6.

Updates after 18th Oct.

In Cork, Nemo Rangers and Castlehaven will have to go for a replay after drawing 10 points apiece yesterday.

In Waterford, hallelujah, they are only one round behind Dublin as they have reached the quarter finals, to be played next weekend. Stradbally will play St. Declan's, Ardmore; Clashmore Kinsalebeg will play Killrossanty; Brickey Rangers and Gaultier appear to be in two other quarter finals, but they both seem to be playing either Ferrybank or Cois Bhride. Deiseach, any idea what that's about?

Kerry has it's first finalist as Legion beat Rathmore in the first semi final. South Kerry plays Kenmare next weekend. (Note, if Legion win the final, they will represent Kerry. If they lose, then Dingle will represent Kerry as Club Champions, as both South Kerry and Kenmare are divisional/district sides.

In Tipperary, Clonmel Commercials beat Moyle Rovers in the final, as tippabu said earlier.

Clare Miltown Malbay beat Cooraclare 0-13 to 0-09 and are crowned champions

Limerick  Newcastlewest beat Drom-Broadford by 2-10 to 0-09 to win their first title in 23 years.

Trying to piece it together myself here. The website is screwed up. Ferrybank are not a senior football team and Cois Bhride are the underage team composed of Tallow and Shamrocks! The current mess with the quarter-finals (quite apart from the mess of not getting games played before now) seems to be a function of Ballinacourty, the Nire and Clashmore/Kinsalebeg finishing joint-top of their group. After the playoff on Friday C/K have finished third and will play Kilrossanty who finished second in their group. The winners of the playoff between Ballinacourty and The Nire tomorrow will play Brickey Rangers and the losers will play Gaultier. There's no hope of getting all this played before November 1st.

Updates after 25th October

In Cork, Nemo Rangers beat Castlehaven in the replay and are champions.

In Waterford, they seem to have reached the semi final stage, due to be played this Friday and Saturday nights. In the first semi final the Nire will play Stradbally, while in the other Ballinacourty will play Kilrossanty.

Kerry has it's final as South Kerry beat Kenmare by a point and qualify to play Legion in the final. Dingle will be shouting for South Kerry as they will represent Kerry as club champions if Legion fail to land the County Championship.

In Tipperary, Clonmel Commercials are champions.

Clare Miltown Malbay are champions.

Limerick  Newcastlewest are champions.

waterfordlad

Yeah game between Waterford champions and now Nemo Rangers is put back a week now so barring replays/postponements Waterford should have a team in it as semis to played next weekend and presumably final midweek under lights then next week.
