In real time, I thought it was a penalty but definitely not on replay. Did Duffy consult with his linesmen?? They should have had a good idea of whether it was a foul or not

and McBrearty's point from out on the right near the end was as good a point as I've seen.

Good second half from Donegal. Could even afford to gift Derry two of their three second half points! Derry couldn't handle Murphy when he went in full forward, Neil Gallagher and Christy Toye were immense and we did very well with the turnovers in the second half.

Two points down, four left to get! :)

Murphy gave a masterclass on how to 'win' frees / panalties alright. Either lean back into the defender or shake your head and fall to your knees. Duffy fell for it everytime

Penalty was questionable,  but that was about it. The free a few minutes before it was a foul.

I was sat directly across along the 13.....Duffy was conned for both.

Anyways, the match is done and dusted. Kerry at home on Sunday. Should be interesting

Not by tv replays.

But done and dusted, as you say. Let's hope Murphy doesn't lose out next time. Refs might give the benefit of the doubt to the defender after that.

Memories of Adrian Sweeney with that one!

Was in the terrace on Saturday night and as soon as it happened we thought penalty. We all agreed I it was soft but "had seen them given before". Anyway the decision wasn't the winning of the game and Derry got a few soft frees in the 1st half.

Onto this Saturday night and an away trip to croke park to play Dublin. Will be interesting to see how both teams line up, will him Gavin played a stronger side than last weekend. Can see us starting with similar team to this week. Meant to be a good crowd travelling down so should make for a good atmosphere as well

If you're going to bother posting table the least you could do is post accurate version. The lads in the GAA have gone all modern and now use stuff like points difference to decide table positions. Have a go and see if you can figure it out???

Derry are putting all their effort into winning sam this year.  Tunnel vision.  league a mere distraction.

Maybe Derry should have a look and see how teams who get relegated from Division 1 tend to do in that year's championship.

Basically you get relegated from Division 1 and you're going to have a bad time in that year's championship.

I don't care, as long as we get a few good kicks at C&S Cavanagh

It's good to set achievable goals, but it sounds like the way the Derry forwards have been going so far the odds are any kicks they throw in the direction of the Cavanagh bros are likely to be off target.

As taken from Rte.ie. Ring Joe Duffy tomorrow with your complaint, I presume you have his number already
