Hi guys,

Some of you might have heard about this but we've been trying to keep most things under wraps, with a big reveal hopefully in January.

But we are a game development company, based in Armagh and are developing a Gaelic football video game for Xbox One and PS4 called All Star Gaelic Football. You can check out our website at http://www.mojopinstudios.com . (Apologies about the bare bones nature of it but we got the website hacked so we had to pull the site we had and put up this basic one!) Or check us out on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/mojopinstudios or on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/mojopinstudios

You will see on our site a short "teaser" video on Darren Hughes and Mattie Donnelly performing some actions that were captured and will be appearing in the game. Also on our Facebook you will see a video which shows how some of these actions will translate into the game.

There is still a lot of work to do, but for some of it we would appreciate YOUR help! We currently have a player ratings editor that allows people to go in and rate all players in various different areas. From Catching Ability to Ball Control, Point Taking to Top Speed. All the ratings are made by the fans and if you don't like someone's rating, you can change it by adding your own and bring the average up or down. The final ratings in the game will be extremely heavily influenced by our fans input. We are also offering the chance to get YOUR name in the game. Create or edit 30 or more players, who are legitimate players (some people have been just adding themselves), then you will be offered the chance to be a player in the game!

To get access to the editor simply sign up to our newsletter which can be found at http://www.mojopinstudios.com and we will send information through within 24 hours on where to go to get access. Doing this will give you unrivalled access at shaping the new game and you'll be the first to find out about any new information on the game!

For reference, below is how the current ratings stack up...Is this how you would see it? If not, sign up to the newsletter and get your voice heard!

Don't let indy see you've only rated lord connolly fifth...

Haha! As I said the ratings are peer reviewed. It is the fans that set the ratings, not us!  ;)

Looking forward to this. Nice way of getting people engaged but won't peer reviewing inflate the ratings of players from counties with larger populations? I hope ye'll take that into account and make sure the best players from smaller counties are at appropriate levels too.

On the technical side, what engine are ye using?

mojopin

Say we have 30 Dublin fans entering ratings for Dublin players, and we have 70 fans from other counties, they can adjust the balance. But we know it may not be perfect, we will have the final day, so we will be taking all factors into account.

As for the game engine, we are using Unity. That probably means nothing to most people!  :D

Best of luck with it. Does the volunteering of information get by the dreaded image rights chestnut?

mojopin

Image rights are an ongoing discussion.

Will Billy Sheehan sing GSTQ to the Armagh players in the game?

Best of luck with it,will there be a PS3 version?
Oh and what about a Hurling version?
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Great idea, I'll give yis a hand with it for sure. One question, can you unlock some super players when you achieve some set targets? You could unlock Larry Reilly, just put all his ratings to 100%.

mojopin

At the minute we will be only looking to build for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Depending on various factors, we may look at a previous gen port, but we're aren't focusing on it. We don't soon to release until at least Christmas next year, so everyone will have upgraded to the next gen by then anyway! ;)

As for hurling, and even handball, rounders and road bowls are all on our agenda, but we will not have the time to do it for this release. But if we raise enough finances, you never know.
