Pretty much a must win game at Pairc Tailteann for both teams though for different reasons.

It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

If you were any use you'd be playing.

Any recent meetings ? When was the last time Down travelled to Navan? I was there for an u21 match in the last 10 years but no other memory.

Nice title by the way!

I recall Meath beating us in Newry in the back door in the late 2000s I think by a few points.

Meath are a bit all fur coat and no knickers at the moment

Meath and Down have had many great battles in Navan but not in recent years. Meath came to Newry for a qualifier in 2007, and won fairly comfortably. 1-10 to 0-8. Navan was a lucky venue for Down in 2005, as we managed to win two All Ireland semi finals there, against Dublin (u21) and Offaly (minor) in the space of a few months. Saturday week is unlikely to be dull.

05 last time I was there to see a fellow clubman score a fantastic goal to finish off Offaly minors in the All Ireland semi final.

Navan races on the day of this game, should be a decent day out ending up with 2 handy points.  ;)

Surely that didn't happen. It has to be a wind up – doesn't it?
