Meath and Down have had many great battles in Navan but not in recent years. Meath came to Newry for a qualifier in 2007, and won fairly comfortably. 1-10 to 0-8. Navan was a lucky venue for Down in 2005, as we managed to win two All Ireland semi finals there, against Dublin (u21) and Offaly (minor) in the space of a few months. Saturday week is unlikely to be dull.

Navan races on the day of this game, should be a decent day out ending up with 2 handy points.
