Just doing a wee bit of a dungout in my shed.. I came across some old cassettes. Stuff I recorded mostly off the radio in my younger years. Dave fanning was a good source of music he knew students couldnt afford music so he'd not talk over the track so you could get it unspoiled. Some great stuff on these tapes. Plenry of elvis costello the smiths the cult paul weller steely dan.. Jez  this stuff is still great..

So for the craic compile a mixed tape list 12 or so songs that you'd buy on a cd if you could. Maybe diferent genre eg metal rock or pop or just mix the lot.  maybe think of it as a gift for someone.. Maybe you made one for a girlfriend what was on it?

Lawnseed. Most people download individual songs and burn them onto a CD. Do you have any era in mind ?
The Fannings fab 50 cds 1-3 have some quality tunes. It's a pity the series was discontinued.

People taping songs off the radio is going to destroy the music industry yet, mark my words.
