Ballyhaunis must be big favs? Have they ever beaten the Galway Champions? They play Intermediate don't they once they get out of Mayo?

Favourites surely. They seem to stay at that level though, they lost to Four Roads from Roscommon last year in the Intermediate Connacht Championship. It's a pity they don't push on. Mayo and Roscommon winners play in the Connacht Intermediate semi, Galway intermediate winners await in the final.
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

They played the Galway champions one year in the final a day after the Galway champions played their own replayed county final!! Thought if there was going to be a chance that was it.

We beat the Galway champions in the semi. Higgins is their main man, does he still hurl (doubt it) for the County?

In Tipperary, they have 3 of the 4 semi finalists and surprisingly both finalists from last year are gone already after Drom and Inch followed Sarsfields out the door by losing to Nenagh last weekend.

The confirmed semi finalists are Nenagh Eire Óg, Loughmore-Castleiney (who must be favourites now with all the McGraths) and Borrisoleigh, while Kildangan and Clonoulty-Rossmore must replay their quarter final.

Up in Offaly they are awaiting a final clash between the nouveau riche in Kilcormac-Killoughy and the old monied Birr. Birr beat another old firm side, Saint Rynaghs, in their semi final while KK overcame Clareen, or Sier Kieran.

Well they are 5/2 in PP at the minute, you confident?

Of the 5 that are left, I think Loughmore have as good a chance as any. I wouldn't think the standard is outstanding, and the likes of John and Noel McGrath will be huge for them. Clonoulty would be my other pick of the 5, but maybe that's because I can't imagine Kildangan, Nenagh or Borrisoleigh as senior champions :)

Hope you got on :)

Passage won their first ever Waterford senior title today with an amazing finish to beat Ballygunner 3-16 to 3-13. They were 7 points behind in last 10 minutes and some people were leaving early. They got 4 points in a row to come to within 3 points going into injury time. They then got a goal to draw level and then Conor Carey got the winning goal with about 30 seconds to go. Huge support for Passage there and there will be great celebrations there for a while.

absolutely marvellous for a whole number of reasons not least being all they have been through in Passage village in the past few months.
Undefeated at the Polo Grounds

Tooreen won their first title in 10 years, with a 4-10 to 1-6 win over Ballyhaunis. That was unexpected outside of those two places I'm sure.
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

Why would a lad go for goal with 30 seconds left instead of taking his point?

waterfordlad

He was right in front of goal unmarked around 14 yard line when ball came to him so was as easy to go for goal as a point. Amazing finish to the game. It reminded me of Offaly v Limerick in 1994.
