DIV 1A: DONEGAL, MAYO TAKE SEMI-FINAL PLACES

Remaining Fixtures

Sunday (3.30):

Dublin v Kerry, Parnell Park

Tyrone v Mayo, Omagh

Donegal v Fermanagh, Ballybofey

Cork v Limerick, Pairc Ui Rinn.

What's decided:
Donegal and Mayo have already qualified for the semi-finals. Fermanagh will finish bottom of the group and will be in Division 3 next year.

What's to be decided:
Who tops the group? Who will finish in third and fourth places, thereby clinching Division One status next year? Who will finish in sixth and seventh places and head for Division Two Next year? Who will join Limerick in Division Three next year?

Possibilities:
Either Donegal or Mayo can top the group. If Kerry (7pts) beat Dublin (6pts), the Kingdom will be in Division One next year while Dublin will be in Division Two. If Dublin win, they will overtake Kerry and guarantee themselves a place in the top flight next year.

It would then be between Kerry and Tyrone (7pts) for the last remaining qualification place for Division One next year. Tyrone will be at home to Mayo on Sunday. The winner of Cork (4pts) v Limerick (3pts) will be in Division Two next year while the losers will be in Division Three.

Just read the Div 1 Semi's will be a double header in Croker on April 15th,

while the Div 2 semis will be double header the saturday 14th tho no venue confirmed
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Star Spangler

So that means if Kerry beat Dublin they'll keep Tyrone in Division 1 no matter the result against Mayo?

That would take all the pleasure out of it for them!  :P

If Dublin and Mayo win at the weekend, then who ends up in Div 2 ? Scoring differences ?

Star Spangler

That's how they're normally seperated at the end of the league.  In that case, it would have to be Kerry staying up - unless Dublin give them a hiding!

I have absolutely no doubt that Tyrone and kerry will be in division 1 football next year after last weeks perofrmance, they are both too good to go down.

DUBSFORSAM1

Dublin v' Kerry to be a draw
Mayo to win

Tyrone in Div 2......  ;D

Have to admit don't know how you can claim 2 teams are too good to go down after last Sat's match though!!!

Bit of a joke that someone from div 1A will wind up in division three, totally unfair in my view.

The Real Laoislad

Its the same for 1b..And 1A and 1B are the same league just different groups so why should it be different for 1A?.The counties knew at the start of the league so i wouldn't have sympathy for any of them

Yeah it would be depending on scoring differences. Dublin would leap-frog Tyrone and Kerry to stay in Div 1, Kerry would more than likely stay in div 1 as they currently have 10 more points than Tyrone in the difference.
