Meath should never have fu#ked with Tara. The fairies are really mad now . They were the ones who sent Banty BTW.

Very disappointed Jinxy in the lack of a poetic title and opening post after my efforts for the first two games. How do you expect us win now without poetry?

So you are dead...

The easy words contain

No sense of loss, no sorrow, no despair.

Thus hunger, thirst, fatigue...

Combine to drain all feelings from our hearts.

The endless glare, the brutal heat

Anaesthetize the mind.

I cannot mourn you now...

I lift my load,

The suffering column moves.

I leave behind

Only another corpse

Beside the road...

Jaysis you Kildare boyos sound like you've been to a funeral, I thought you'd be used to being shite.

"Though we are not now at that strength which in better days moved earth and heaven,
that which we are, we are;
one equal temper of heroic hearts made weak by time and fate but not in will;
To strive, to seek, to find,
and not to yield. "

With all your riches, why aren't you there?
The wind acts like a magnet
And pulls the leaf from the tree
And the town's lost its breath
I took the Wrong Road round
Handsome is good, pretty is better
What was that phrase
Grace under pressure?
Blind by the light bulb
Blood to the bank
Lost all yours letters when the ship sank
In the disjointed breaking light
The soft blue approach of the water
Makes a sound you won't forget
I took the Wrong Road round

Meath are going to have to do something spectacular for this one.

How about playing Mick Lyons el Cid style in the full back line ? The Dubs will go back to the race memory pool and it'll scare the bejaysus out of them.

Jinxy

We should get the cones out early and do our warm-up in front of the Hill.
That'll make them really mad.
Which can only lead to good things for us, I would have thought.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Jinxy

This is the team I'd like to see line out.
1. P. O'Rourke
2. D. Keoghan
3. K. Reilly
4. B. Menton
5. P. Harnan
6. S. Kenny
7. C. Lenihan
8. B. Meade
9. G. Reilly
10. P. Byrne
11. S. Bray
12. P. Gilsenan
13. E. Wallace
14. J. Sheridan
15. M. Newman

Play Menton as a sweeper in front of FB line.
Drop Harnan back into the corner.
Drop Peadar back into the HB line.
Bring Wallace out around the HF line where he is facing the goals every time he gets the ball.
Leave Joe and Mickey inside, with Wallace and Bray pushing in to pick up breaks & lay-offs.
There's going to be a lot of space in the Dublin half as we'll have extra men defending.
We need to put Wallace and Reilly into open country and we need to get goals.
At least 2.
If we start with Gillespie and Meade at midfield we are not serious about even trying to win the game.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Shamrock Shore

Sheridan has to start

Even if it's to spook the Hill.

Meath need to 'horse' into Dublin early on to let the Dubs know they are there. Kildare showed Dubs too much respect. Now I am not advocating wanton violence.....well, maybe I am.

But ye know what I mean.

Otherwise it will be a complete and utter rout

He was useless against Wexford, no movement, no pace and failed to win one ball in the air. In fact Meath have no full-forward line, Stephen is not the Bray of old, Newland is a free taker and offers nothing else and Wallace will run down alleys all day and shows no footballing intelligence. Harsh words I know but it's probably Meaths weakest line.

Jinxy

Most of the scores we got against Wexford came from running at them from deep.
Only a couple of balls went into Joe and unusually for him they didn't stick.
I'd still start him as he is the best target man we have and he gives us the option of going direct.
We basically played without a centre forward yesterday.
Carroll is far too physically weak for this level.
I'd rather have Bray out there and get him to pick out a pass.
Wallace needs to be brought out the field so he can run straight at a defender as opposed to running laterally across the field.
He would be a useful outlet for our defenders too.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

That's just ridiculous, there's no way Mother Teresa is a corner forward, more of a sweeper behind the midfield.

Hence why she is lined out in the FF line.  She will come out and leave a dual pronged FF line, play high ball into Gabriel and he will win everything in the air!
