Jinxy

I heard he was togging out for the minors.
And he's underage again next year.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Looks like good conditions for a game; dry, cloudy, 12 degrees, a gentle westerly breeze helping McManus' efforts over the bar.

What kind of odds will this game be??

I'd have it at around 2/5 or 1/3 for Monaghan

Seen odds the other day,Monaghan 4/7 i think and Cavan 2/1. Something like that anyway. Cavan were definitely 2/1 anyway.

twohands!!!

Cavan 15/8 Draw 7/1 Monaghan 8/13 on Paddypower now

Can see a lot of positional changes - Dessie won't stay at corner back, and Owen Duffy likely to go in full-forward with Kieran Hughes playing out around the middle.

If that team is available and lines out, with the likes of Gollogly, Walshe, Lennon, Kieran Duffy and Ryan McAnespie on the bench, it should be enough to beat Cavan.

Why do you say that? Hey!!  ;D

Itchy

Couldn't give a shit who is starting for Monaghan. Cavan need to worry about themselves and execute their game plan.

Westside

When does the Cavan side need to be announced by? Tonight or tomorrow morning?

Main Street

I haven't a clue about modern Cavan football, the last time i saw them was in a televised qualifier in Croke Park against Kerry.
Once upon a time, my absolute football hero was Ray Carolan. On his own he was worth 5 x Larry Reilly  and that was  in a time when Ulster football was really tough, not like today's wimps with their verbals and diving histrionics (Tyrone ©).
Monaghan are holding true to the real Ulster sporting culture, we alone in Ulster  carry that ancient torch of  honour, manliness and striving for  sporting excellence. Heavy lies the burden of expectation to perform our ordained duty, but we should manage Cavan by at least 5 points. And most probably this time we will have umpires who are gifted with regular eyesight, who can instinctively tell when a ball is 2 metres over the goal line.
