There seems to be a major disconnect between the ambitions of players and supporters - and those of the administrators.

Bring it!
In fairness there's 16 teams in the draw, my prediction for who those will be at this stage is as follows: (already in the draw are in red)(my predicted team to lose in blue)
Tyrone
Laois
Armagh
Longford
Sligo
Tipperary
Limerick
Galway
Carlow

Offaly  v Kildare
Westmeath v Dublin
Wexford  v Louth
Wicklow  v Meath
Down v Derry
Antrim v Monaghan
Fermanagh v Cavan

The only games I wouldn't be that sure of is Derry v Down and Fermanagh v Cavan. Anyway you could get an easy draw but it wont be long before you get a tough one.

you can add Offaly Westmeath Louth Wicklow Antrim Cavan hard to call the Down Derry match I will go with Derry to add to the qualifiers.  I wonder what odds would that accumulator be with the bookies

Maybe W B Yeats' excellent poem about the1916 rising was actually a prophecy for Sligo GAA in 2013...............

All changed, changed utterly:
A terrible beauty is born.

After Sunday I think Tyrone will put a cricket score past any team they draw on that list.

Whatever hcap the bookmakers put up.

Division 2 is doing really badly so far. 4 out of 8 out already and Derry could make it 5 de Domhnaigh.

I'd be very surprised if Down beat Derry considering their injury troubles.

There is only one guaranteed D2 team in the next round- whoever wins between Louth and Wexford . Westmeath are hardly going to beat the Dubs.

Stranger things have happened. Like in 2004, when err, Westmeath beat Dublin.

In 2004 Dublin's setup was similar to everyone elses. Now they and the other 5 counties in the race for Sam have pulled away with professional setups and cutting edge backups.

Paidi managed to give Westmeath a boost but the Dubs seem to be a good bit ahead this year.
D2 looks like a really poor division with the benefit of hindsight.

Two best teams definitely got promoted. Louth might be the pick of the bunch though. They were poor first game out but they really seem to have turned it around since. Leinster final appearance there for them.
