American Idiot; or anyone for about three songs from that album.

Boyzone's version of Father and Son deserves a mention although maybe not the last 10 years.

Actually, that is a good tune alright. 'Starlight' is better though. Well, whaddya know, there has been a decent tune this last 10 years!

Some songs on here aren't right. Seven Nation Army wasn't even the White Stripes best song let alone a song of the last 10 years. Likewise Hoppipola from Sigur Ros.

FOr me these would be up there with the best songs of the last 10 years:

Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7dt1li5SyY

It was a real lightbulb moment when I first heard it as it was something new and raw and very energetic I just thought it was class and still is.

Seasick Steve - Doghouse Boogie

The video says all that needs to be said about that song really.

Skinny Love - Bon Iver

Just a great song!

I know people are lamenting the death of music and such nonsense but there is still some great music out there if you broaden your horizons from the nonsense that they put on the mainstream TV and Radio.

NI especially doesn't have any kind of alternative radio stations bar an odd show on Radio Ulster. Keep an eye out for Jools Holland's show as well as he often has some hidden gems come on the show.

Great programme (even if I'm watching it one-eyed half the time ::)).

Whenever Mayo win the all Ireland they should play this around the clock on MWR

Maguire01

A few honourable mentions here. Maybe Armagh CB should try and book The National for their next gig.

Anyway, have had a think about this. Doves - Black & White Town for me:
