I was watching a repeat of the Kerry/Dublin 2009 game and was thinking of the worst inter-county hidings. I think there were a few in 2001.

Any over 20 points at inter-county level?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Wexford got to All Ireland semi final that year Dublin were knocked out in the quarter final.

Castlebar, June 21 2009:

Mayo 3-18
Roscommon 0-07

I think that'll be a scoreline that will be kept in mind and either collapse or inspire us if we return to the scene of the crime on June 16th.

I think tyrone beat Fermanagh by 20 points in the AI QF in 2003!!

Jell 0 Biafra

As a Dublin man, I hope this thread gets locked.

Shamrock Shore

Does going back as far as 1963 count?

Leinster senior football championship

Dublin 10-13
Longford 3-08

beat that ye hoors.

laoislad

Cork beat Laois 10-20 to 1-13 in the Hurling a couple of years ago.

I was wondering about that too.
3rd August 2003 Tyrone 1.21 v Fermanagh 0.05 so we failed to make the 20 mark.

AZOffaly

I think Down gave Offaly an awful trimming in the qualifers there a couple of years ago. An absolute disgrace. The next year Offaly nearly beat them, lost by 2 points I think.

In 1996 Tyrone gave Derry a serious hiding in Clones.  We had been listening all year about what Derry were going to do after 1995.  Then as the game proceeded we realised what was unfolding was the end of an era for Derry football and the complete annihilation of some of Derrys greatest ever footballers.   The sun shone brightly that day I can tell ye.

Milltown Malbay Massarce 1979
Kerry 9-21 Clare 1-9

There's rumours that the actual score was 10-18 but they didn't have double digits for the goals column so they added 3 points instead. Must be one of the biggest losses in c'ship football at home.

BTW, I thought there was a site gaainfo.com or something like that which would be useful for finding that sort of thing but it seems to have disappeared. Has the URL changed?

Just Checked there. the hiding was 2008. 5-19 to 2-10, so only the 18 points. in 2010 it ended 1-12 to 1-10.

BluestackBoy

It wasn't 20 points, but the 2-18 0-9 hammering that Cork gave us in Croke Park in 2009 still has me waking up at night roaring. :'( :'(
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world & loses his soul.

Pastings at final level are several degrees of pain deeper.  It's one thing being a Kilkenny fuballer and getting beaten by Dublin but going into a match thinking you could be champions and coming out in despair is far worse.

Cork put up 5-33 against Waherford in the Munster final in 83 or 84

Mayo's 04 and 06 experiences of course
