Really sad to hear about the passing of one of the true greats who played on one of the greatest teams ever to play the game.

Truly one of the greatest gentlemen I have ever come across, inside or outside the GAA.  Modest, almost apologetic, in his approach to scoring.

For anyone who may underestimate his contribution to the Kerry team 1975-1986, take a look at the Golden Years video/dvd...John Egan stands out as big a contributor as Mike Sheehy or Eoin Liston, and maybe more in some eyes.

The regard he holds in Kerry is immense.

May he rest in peace and his family gain comfort that he is truly at peace.

Time to take a more chill-pill approach to life.

RIP. Too young. Watching the golden years videos you cant but be struck by how totally brillant he was.

One of my favourite players of that Kerry team, strong as a bull and able to take players on and finish. 6 Celtic crosses is some haul, even if 5 of his teammates won 8 the comparison is futile IMO.
At dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
