Does anyone think the Lions might actually get somewhere, even of the bottom of their division. Johnson is a remarkable player and if they still have joey harrington, they might get it going on offence. But this is the Lions afterall. Winning is not their style.

Randy Moss To Join The Patriots  :o :o :o

As unlikely as it seems, Tom Brady and Randy Moss on the same team, very different styles and attitude. Pats got Moss in a Draft pick trade i think

The locals down here in South Florida are going nuts over the Dolphins passing up on Brady Quinn. There must be something up with Quinn for him to drop that low.

Joey harrington is ket, pure ket.

The lions have Matt Millon calling the shots and he does not know what he is doing, he must have photos of the Ford family because he has been the single worst executive in american sports history.

The lions might improve but having a stud receiver is not the b all and end all, any team can scheme to double team him or even have the safety move up and take that side of the field away and then it would be up to one of the other three receivers they have drafted as the answer in the past five years to get it done.

In short the answer is no, the Lions are going to finish bottom of the heap.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

Just seen that Brian Urlacher was hit with a $100k fine for wearing gear from a vitamin company and drinking their product rather than Gatorade who are official NFL sponsors - bit harsh on the big man! Its a good thing the GAA is not professional or the Cork boys with Corona emblazoned on their boots would have been worried!

wee lads the
NFL Draft was yesterday, how do you think your teams came out of it?

Have to decide on an NFL team to support, might go with the Browns because of Brady Quinn.
Thought the Browns had a great draft
as did the Panthers,
Beason,Jarrett,Ryan Kahlil was some first 3 rounds.
Colts also done well,Gonzalez will be great in the slot ala Stokely.
And well the Pats traded a 4th for Randy Moss and picked up a super safety in Merriweather,Do they ever stop getting better?
San Fran also done well getting Patrick Willis(the next Ray Lewis according to some NFL Experts) and Joey Staley out of Central Michigan

on the otherhand,
Thought San Diego had a poor draft.
Craig Davis from LSU,Not a first rounder in my opinion
Eric Weddle is good, but they gave up too much for him.
Redskins have f**k all picks as usual. When will they learn to keep them and build through the draft,
Dont think Landry was the correct pick for them.
Bears,Greg Olsen is a physical speciman alright much like Vernon Davis last year,But other than that i think they reached for Bazauin and others.
Whats everyones opinions on the draft?

Wembley tickets set to go on sale in May

Tickets for the NFL regular season game at Wembley between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants will go on sale on May 16 to the lucky ones among those who have registered to buy seats for the historic occasion.

Within 72 hours of the NFL announcing the first competitive game to be played outside of North America, nfluk.com received requests for more than half a million tickets to its special registration site.

Next week, an email will be sent out to registrants, confirming details of the on-sale date and procedure.

Prior to May 16, the first group of registrants to get lucky in the lottery for tickets will receive a further email giving them details of the next steps they have to take. Notification will include details on pricing and how many tickets individual applicants are able to buy.

Alistair Kirkwood, managing director of NFL UK, explained: "It is taking time for us to move this process forward, partly because we want everything to run as smoothly as possible. Beyond the May 16 offer there will be further opportunities to buy tickets so don't despair if you are not among the first group to be given the chance to purchase."

i watched a bit of the draft last night on Sky Sports. is this fella Brady Quinn worth all the hype? (dont get to see any college football)

thejuice

Quinn was touted as being a possible 1st pick. but after Raiders picked Russell, no-one really needed a QB so he slid down the draft table. I think people question his mechanics and his accuracy throwing to his left side is a bit off. But in spite of that he's managed to have success with Notre Dame and lead the team on some pretty impressive comebacks.

Couldnt believe Miami passed up the opportunity to take Brady Quinn given what they have there masquerading as a QB at the moment. Cleveland gave up alot to get Quinn....hopes hes worth it from their perspective. The Pats have done great business too between trades, draft and what not. Randy Moss & Tom Brady.....could be devestating!

Moss at the Pats has the potential to be either brilliant or T.O. and the Eagles all over again.
