Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

GalwayBayBoy

Should they not shake these groups up for a change? It's the same fixtures every year.

Rossfan

They changed them last year if I recall rightly.

Did they? Seems like Galway have been playing Sligo, Sligo IT and NUIG for donkey's years.

Rossfan

We were playing Mayo, SIT and NUIG for years then last year we got Laythrum and the GMIT.

So what's the deal with London? Obviously they're trying to reduce travel costs by playing two games each weekend but surely they'll have to field almost entirely different teams for both games.

I see that there are a couple of games down for next week at the 'Connacht GAA centre'. Am I correct to take that as the new grounds at Clooncurry Bekan near Ballyhaunis? I didn't know that work was completed there.

It's definitely Ballyhaunis, the work must at least be done to the point where the pitches and facilities are finished.

Gaabellting

Anyone know if Alan Mulholland has drafted together much of a squad yet for fbd league. will probably see a good few players get a run out in this.

sligoman2

Anyone have any info on what sligo are doing in terms of new players for the fbd?  Hopefully 2012 will be better than last year
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not too sure.

Very young Galway team and squad. Not sure if this is a sign of what Mulholland is thinking for the rest of the year. Obviously a few of the older heads will eventually appear. Others might not.

Are none of these Galway young players not involved with there colleges? most of ours are & we have to scrape the barrel to pick a team for Sunday.

I couldn't tell you to be honest. I know a few of them are in college up in Dublin. Not sure about some others.
