Did they sing something with a chorus line similar to "ohhh sit down, sit down...", which the brit students then changed to "kill saddam....." during Iraq 1?

Don't remember Billy having an opinion either way on the Roses.

Are they just doing a Boyzone/Take That and making a quick buck?  Hope they are as we could then expect some new material.

Ah crap, I thought I was going to be lectured on rugby rules/laws etc.

I hope this incarnation passes me by ... as well.  ;)

I listened to the Stone Roses first CD and for a first recording the sound is excellent, (one or two good tracks as well ;D)
Out of further curiosity I downl the remastered version and it also sounds good, some tracks a bit better that the original but there was not much they could improve upon and they didn't make it sound worse, like too loud and congested.

Anyone have a listen to the Thin Lizzy remasters of their first 3 recordings?
Normally I'd approach remasters with the enthusiasm of taking a shortcut through a mine field but I have to say these remasters are very good. I don't know how it compares to the vinyl as my lp collection has long since melted.
On Vagabonds there are 3 live tracks with Gary Moore from spring '74 at the BBC,  really good recordings, versions I had never heard before.

Nah, it's the Continuity Whipping Boy now - only two original members.

I'm of a similar ilk, although I'm sure Fearghal still puts on a mad show..

He does indeed, apparently, though that was never what interested me ...
