You could see after Molloys goal on Sunday, Ricey is on the ground and Murphy is giving a good earful to him, if ever a hateful c**t deserved that it's Ricey (and Keaney) ..............not that I agree with that sort of thing, dirty oul dubs and all that
Excuse me for talking while you're trying to interrupt me

while maybe not the reason for starting this thread it brings up a good point/question regarding the goading of other teams and over exhuberent celebrations etc - imo is not good.

I will state that our own Joe Brolly irked me a bit when he started blowing the infamous kisses - though part of me was delighted because it was tyrone- but still thought hs shouldnt have done it.

I have took a young lad aside at half time (dublin minor final 2007) and told them to stop trash talking and concentrate on playing football - leading to a much improved perf from the aforementioned player in the second half.

this shouting in players ears etc and all the crap that goes on these days sickens me.
If this happened in the late 80's or 90's the mouty guy would have his fill of it through a well timed punch in the mouth in a tackle. Those days you could sneeze on a player without giving a free and lads knew to shut it or they would get their comeuppence. these days with no physicality in the game, even the watery lads can talk sihte and know they wont get hit !

This can be coached out of the game, same as diving . never encourage players to do this and actually tell playes not to dive or mouth in any training session or team I coach.

you do your talking on the pitch via the scoreboard.
