So what are Down and Armagh if they are neither a tip nor a Dark horse?

What about Galway as a dark horse, terrible campaign in the league but pulled themselves together at the end?

By the way, how come you think Kerry will win Munster but Cork will win the All-Ireland?

Serious AZ?

I don't see why not. I think there are 3-4 teams operating at a level above most others, Cork, Kerry, Tyrone, and then the likes of Dublin, Down, Kildare, Mayo etc etc.

I think if a situation unfolded whereby Tyrone avoided Cork (whose physicality would be too much I think), then yes, I can easily see Tyrone winning another.

Put it like this, I'd have Tyrone at least 50-50 against any of the other teams on that list.

just my opinion PAULD123 my darkhorse are for the All Ireland & i can't see Down,Armagh or Galway in the latter stage this year but all would be darkhorses for Ulster,Connacht if you like? & i think it will be a repeat of last year Kerry for Munster Cork for Sam.

Lone Shark

Leinster: Dublin, dark horse Westmeath. Sadly.
Munster: Kerry, no dark horse here. Trampled Limerick going backwards, Tipp just lacking the power to get close enough to land an upset.
Ulster: Down, dark horse Derry
Connacht: Mayo, with Sligo a dark horse, if you could ever call the third favourites a dark horse.

All Ireland: Dublin maybe, just ahead of Cork and Kerry. No chance for anyone else.

Croí na hÉireann

Leinster:Dublin
Darkhorse Wexford

Munster:Kerry

Ulster:Down
Darkhorse Donegal

Connacht:Mayo

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Do either of you boys understand the expression 'dark horse'?

ross4life

Yes but the OP used the term "darkhorse" maybe 2nd/3rd favourite would be better?
