Between Gerry Adams and a thread about Michael Noonan? I don't see it either Maguire.

I interpreted as a thread about politicians and their financial investments.

Yes because the thread title DOES use all of the following words:
"Politicians"
"Financial"
"Investments"

Then the opening post by the thread starter DOES also talk about politicians in general, and Gerry Adams in particular. No whataboutery here it's good to see eh!

the thread relates to the fact that our finance minister shows his lack of confidence in the economy he is supposed to be promoting while imposing cut after cut in the incomes of ordinary irish people and telling them its for their own good

Catch a grip lawnseed, if I saw him throwing money away by buying irish bonds i'd be properly worried about him running the country's finances. The debt load is unsustainable, as a personal investment unless you can afford to lose 30-50% (which the majority of the population can't), then buying Irish bonds would have been crazy - just too risky. Incidentally is the same thing with the stock market, unless you can afford to lose it, don't do it.

he did it before the greek bailout ireland still had a triple A rating at the time

I wouldn't be happy with the minister of finance having Irish bonds, this could give rise to a conflict of interest in the present conditions. Holding German bonds means that he has no personal interest in the present discussion on bondholders and the like.

Just wondering who Lawnseed is quoting in the thread title with: "finance minister"?

Oh, you see I thought you meant a link between Gerry Adams and a thread about Michael Noonan. As I say, I don't see it.
