Tyrone And Donegal Play Out Entertaining Draw

Tyrone 1-11  Donegal 1-11

The match backwards.

The game finishes all square 1-11 each and there was plenty of excitement in the final few minutes at Healy Park. Donegal went ahead 1-11 to 1-10 as the clock entered the last minute courtesy of a Mc Brearty goal but Cappagh lad Mark Bradley salvaged a deserved draw for Micky Donnelly's side with a twenty metre free deep in injury time. Final score Tyrone 1-11, Donegal 1-11. Next up for the Red Hands is a game away to Fermanagh on Tuesday night.

With eight minutes remaining Tyrone lead 1-10 to 11 points. Donegal had been coming back into the game but Ryan Mayse scored a fine goal to open a three point gap between the sides. Then as the game entered the last ten minutes Mc Brearty knocked over a free to leave two points between the teams.

Ten minutes gone in the second half and Tyrone lead ten points to nine. Two good Donegal scores levelled the game at nine points each but a fine point from play by John Loughran leaves the score Tyr 0-10, Donegal 0-9 ten minutes gone 2nd half.

It is half time at Healy Park and Tyrone have come back into it in a big way and now lead nine points to seven. John Loughran scored Tyrone's sixth point but almost immediately Donegal hit back with two points from Paul Mc Brearty to go 7-6 ahead. Mc Brearty who starred for Donegal Vocationals in their All Ireland success landed a monster 47 metre kick for his team's seventh point. However Tyrone responded well with three points from play as half time approached through Aidan Mc Garrity, Ryan Mayse and Michael Mc Cann. Errigal lad Mc Cann now has two points to his name which is no mean achievement for a corner back. Tyrone lead at the break 0-9 to 0-7.

Twenty minutes in and it is all square five points each with Tyrone's scores coming from Conor Mallon and Michael Mc Cann from play and a Darren Mc Currie free.

Thirteen minutes gone and Tyrone playing without the Holy Trinity players are four points to two down. Ryan Mayse is Tyrone's sole scorer this far. Tyr 0-2, Donegal 0-4.

Five minutes into the game at Healy Park and Tyrone and Donegal are all square at a point each with Ryan Mayse, who is in a rich vein of form for his team, getting Tyrone's first point. Tyr 0-1, Donegal 0-1

I know its only the Ulster League and that Tyrone will have players to come in for Championship but Ryan Mayse is doing some scoring, not often someone from his neck of the woods is the main man in a Tyrone team.
