I was looking forward to the laois v antrim game after our good win over meath in the first roung of the league,we had a shaky
lead of 5 points at half time,5 min into the second half the same old story with laois DISCIPLINE left us down again, will our players
ever learn 14 against 15 for the rest of the second half playing against a strong wind went 57 min without scoring only for a few
late points won the match for us, would the new management tell our players to COP on  wishing laois all the best next sunday
up in derry.

The Boy Wonder

Just had to take up the challenge of writing a longer sentence that the above and at the same time giving an opinion on the game next Sunday so I'll start by saying that Brendan Quigley willl be a huge loss at midfield for Laois as that could be where the game will be won or lost (provided that Pady Bradley is not allowed run riot up front for Derry) and Derry are usually very strong at centrefield.

Fancy us for this one.

Reckon Celtic Park is still a fortress for us when we are in confident mood. Another reason is its 1.30pm on a Sunday and I wonder will the laois lads be arsed getting released by their dublin employers clubs?

I like this soccer style photo of Begleys transfer to Parnells  :P

John Brennan reckoned last week's game was a "six-pointer"  :D, this is another big one.  A Derry win and they'll be well on course for promotion as I'd fancy them to get a win down in Sligo in the next round of fixtures.

What did John mean by a six pointer?

sure ask him yourself  ;D

can't see laois beating us with skinner back in the frame

brennan has def got them working as a team

the coleraine men are working well too - great footballers from such a small club

The Real Laoislad

Jaysis reading the posts here I wonder is there any point in us even turning up?

i think the fans who pay at the gate may be a bit pissed off if the team don't  ;D

seriously though it should be an interesting game

I asked another board member the same question and he reckoned everything becomes bigger or better, such as 4 turning into 6, when you apply The Brennan Factor.

HiMucker

Right rather than all the political correctness that we all get up to "it will be a tough game" etc etc.  Im going to just put myself out on a limb and say Derry will win Handy.  There i said it! :)

It's a soccer saying, when you get 3 points for a win. He meant a 4 pointer
