Cant the men who sent the emails simply deny they sent these?  I mean, how hard is it to edit a forwarded mail, they could just say, it wasnt me, someone has edited my email address and signature onto that mail lol??  Im sure they have all the mails they sent internally deleted by now or is there a way to get back deleted emails?Just shows peoples love for gossip as well, front page news on some newspapers and 7 pages here on a story that in context, who could really give a shite, some boys commenting on a few pretty girls, big f**king waha.

Some of them definitely will imo be let go for this. However imo they will be snapped up by another firm who will "benefit" from the training paid for by PWC. A year or two in London might be awaiting them. Not a career finishing boo boo as far as I can make out.

I dont think anyone (maybe Pangurban) is calling for their heads. I think what most people are agreeing on is the fact that some heads will have to roll in todays "white collar" workplace for shit like that, on company time and with company resources. I couldnt care less what they did - but you can't say it wasnt extremely stupid to do it on company email. You'd be gone from any job Ive worked in in a heartbeat for that kind of stupidity - even if out on the golf course, or the bar after work - your colleagues may discuss such things. Putting it down on traceable electronic media was unbelievably stupid.

EDIT: I read the last paragraph of your post again - do you not understand that in certain jobs, in certain industries and especially in "the corporate world" (which is were this happened) that you just can't go around talking about your co-workers in an unprofessional manner. Whether you agree or not - you just cant do it. It's just how it is and how it is going to be.

Some of the responses here wouldn't be out of place among some of the more neanderthal workplace politics seen in Mad Men! Sure, lads (and ladies) chat away every day and rate members of the opposite sex. What isn't normal is doing it in a manner that causes the discussion to expand exponentially by email outside of the original group, leaving the girls in question subject to very public humiliation and the company vulnerable for the manner in which the humiliation occurred. These idiots should be sacked. They would be in the comapny I work for in the states, and I seriously doubt if PWC's HR programmes don't contain some similar rules and consequences. And its very easy to say its all harmless fun when you're not the object of this unsolicited attention and humiliation.

I think being transferred elsewhere is the best they could expect. There is no way they could have them in the same workplace as the girls in question. PWC would leave themselves wide open if they did.

Small boring point of clarification PWC were not Anglo's auditors, I'm fairly sure that dubious distinction fell to Ernst and Young. Not saying they didn't hop on the gravy train for special assignments after the bank gaurantee/baiout etc.

Lets get one thing straight, this issue has nothing to do with political correctness. It is about respect for individuals and their right to work free from bullying and harrassment. It underlines the poor quality of training in some firms, particularly when people like Tony Baloney claim they have been trained up to the Eye-Balls in Industrial Relations, equal rights etc. yet is still not able to understand the basic issue involved here.
