Armagh 28/1------ :D

A realistic enough assessment. We aren't great yet but this year has shown that you don't necessarily have to be in order to make the latter stages of the championship.

Why are Meath 12/1  ???

Westmeath are 11/10 to win the Maiden Hurdle(3-05) at Ballinrobe the day with Paul Carberry up.
Corkonian is 11/8 to win the other Maiden Hurdle at 3-35 with Ruby Walsh's assistance.

I thought Paul Carberry was on an Aer Lingus flight from Malaga once? I thought that would rule him out of ever riding for Ryanair Gigginstown House.

Corkonian with Kildare assistance. Sounds like the Cork team of the late eighties/early nineties.
did kildare people back Cork at the time?  genuine question btw.

We did just as the Norwegians backed Quisling in his new post or the way the yanks backed Benedict Arnold?

Sligo 66/1

So Sligo are 3 times more likely to win Sam than us next year  :o
Correct

Well now that another year has come and gone. (Did anyone predicate Down to be in an All Ireland Final) Who do people fancy for next years title. I don't think cork will retain the sam Maguire as I think this group of players have achieved what they set out 4-5 years ago to do. For me it will Dublin who will do the business next year as much as i hate to say it but they will have learned alot this year and will work on it for next year. Tyrone will not cut it next year as I feel the heart has went out of this team. Kerry will be sniffin about as usual and could do it AGAIN other than that who else would be in contention

T Fearon

Kildare will be thereabouts next year, they've been around for a while now and are bound to be further motivated by the injustice of this year. I agree also with the Dubs but think tthat Cork have the monkey off their backs and will be more relaxed to challenge again next year.

Don't rule out Armagh if Stevie can maintain his current form and Ronan Clarke gets back to full fitness. A season in Division 1 will bring them on as well

Have a feeling Cork will the repeat the feat of 1989/90 of winning back to back All ireland titles! it's up to the others to try & stop them

Would agree that Cork are rightly favourites for next year. Now they have won 1 they might throw off the shackles next year and play with a bit more expression. I think they would like to get Kerry at the knock out stages as there is still that question mark looming over them.

Tyrone should really have beaten Dublin and against Cork you would have fancied them after last years defeat. Was it just a bad day at the office or are there too many miles on the clock for a few of Harte's most loyal players? Next year will tell the tale, there are plenty of potential minor players coming through but that is no guarantee of senior success.

Dublin seemed to enjoy being underdogs this year. Will the increased expectation count against them? It is one thing creating a good defensive set up but it is another finding 2 or 3 scoring forwards. Will Brogan be as consistently good next year?

Can't wait to find out.

If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Like the look of the 3 Ulster counties at 40/1.

Armagh 28/1------ :D

Down 18-1?  When was the last time a beaten finalist started at such a big price for the next year?  Clearly the bookies believe Down massivly overachieved this year, were very lucky against kerry in terms of injuries and had a massive amount of luck against kildare.  Clearly the bookies are not afraid of Down for next year, and they would be right.
