I think I might copy & paste the list from the Mayo thread just to confuse them.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Jinxy

If you were a manager and you had your pick of the Meath or Mayo job, which would you go for?
If you were any use you'd be playing.

I'm sure he would. But we wouldn't pick him. (I hope).

The day we bring in a Dubliner to manage Meath will be the day when supporting your county will cease to make any sense.

Jinxy

You couldn't have two Tommys running the team.
It'll just confuse people.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Jinxy

What's Grimley up to now?
I like the idea of having a big lump of a man running the team.
Further to this, what's Joe Kernan up to now?
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Might as well have the two Ronnies.

a bit like a mayoman managing a Leitrim team , or a mayoman managing a Galway team or a mayoman managing a Roscommonn team or another mayoman managing a galway team

My thoughts exactly when there was talk of the Dublin Co Board going after Boylan.

I don't think O'Rourke will take it and to my mind Kelly would be the best internal candidate

You'd be better off having Tommy Tiernan!!!

Unless Grimley has a No.1 to take the flack he won't be in for the job.  It would be one I reckon Joe would go for, he always had a great relationship with Meath people.  What about any of the former players, the like of GG or Giles are they involved in coaching at all?

Jinxy

I think the heavyweight pairing of Kernan & Grimley would suit our style of play.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Declan - why do you (and others) think O'Rourke wouldn't take it? Because of Shane? I'd say he'd be the last person the Co. board would want, given his independent views. But I'm sure the clubs would back him strongly and, as we've seen, they're in charge!

Graham is in Longford trying to teach them how to kick points.
Trevors coaching exploits thus far are nothing to write home about.
