The murder of Sean Brown (Bellaghy) after closing up Bellaghy GAA grounds for the night.

The year it was decided that the bishop would no longer throw in the ball.

All the shite about allowing members of the RUC to play GAA.

Opening Croke Park to Neil Diamond and subsequently rugby and soccer

TBH, very "politically correct" plaque there! Please read the part were it says Michael Hogan and 12 spectators were "tragically killed"!! Perhaps we could have reworded with "brutally murdered"?? >:(

I liked the gesture  a few years ago when Dave Hickey of one of the Dubs Sam teams doing the INBS jubilee thing before the football final lifted his shirt to reveal a slogan in support of Cuba.

The Offaly sit in in 1998 was something very special as well.

Could not agree more. That plaque, to someone who didn't know about the history would make you think it was as a result of an accident. Train crash on the way, or a crush in the crowd maybe. Have the balls to call it what it was. Murder.

The Murder of Aidan McAnespie

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aidan_McAnespie

Saw a fella waiting for a bus with a McAnespie top on today and was thinking about it. Wild stuff. I think it struck home for a lot of players in the north then because, really, it could have been them. All the fella was doing was carrying a club bag. I certainly thought seriously about it at the time.

On the upside it is amazing to see lads walking down the main street in Armagh wearing their club top as if it was the most natural thing in the world. Things have moved in a positive way.
