The Donegal County Council will apply a levy of €5.47 for each transaction on your card. Its to help complete the Electricity roll out in the north of the county.

The ATM's dispense punts, so make sure you spend it all before leaving the county.

Ulster Bank cards work fine in Donegal, but cross in Leitrim and you need Connacht Bank cards.

No, I know a couple of people and it took me some time to convince them that they didn't need to carry a wad of cash when they came over to me that their bank cards would work fine in England.

You can work your bank card nearly anywhere in the world now.
