Carrickmore won the Ulster Minor Hurling Championship at Ballinascreen about five or six years ago if my memory serves me correctly.

Thats some score Carrickmore put up. How many dual players would they have? P Hughes

They wouldn't have many more hurlers who would start on the first 15 of the football team, although they have alot of boys who basically quit the hurling to focus on the football and if they had all these boys on board their senior hurling team would be considerably better.

A fair handful would train with footballers too but most would be in the reserves/ or our all conquering (:P) thirds side rather than senior side

we would have 9 players on both, could have more to be honest but its a big ask

Any odds on the hurling, I think Keady could spring a surprise by beating Lavey, then again Armagh did beat Derry this year.

Will be interesting to see how Clontibret's odds shorten in comparison to Cross and Coleraine if they win on Sunday.

The final is fixed for 24th October, no venue fixed yet. This is the same day as the date fixed for the Tyrone football final, so if we manage to beat Omagh there'll be a clash. Hopefully common sense will prevail and there'll be a change somewhere along the line...I'm not holding my breath though!
