MFR: Laune Rangers from Killorglin and yes he is still playing and playing well with them. I think he also has a full collection of Club medals in the county, Minor, U21 and Senior

i think i read somewhere back in the early part of the decade that Russell had something ridiculous like 12 or 13 AI medals of various grades by the time he was 22. Is that right?

Tony Davis is the only player to have won All Ireland medals at Minor, Under 21, Junior, Senior and Club.

why does it have to be a Hogan cup medal. Some players dont make it to grammar school but still get All Ireland medals
Owen Mulligan - minor, under 21, senior, all ireland medals at under 18 level with Holy Trinity Cookstown and Tyrone vocational schools. Two more games and he could have an all ireland club medal (intermediate)

because it is the pinnacle of 2nd level football

Says who?... as someone who didn't spend long in the grammar school system, I never got the hype of it and think it is means nothing to people outside of it.

Dermot Mc Nicholl ? I,d say he had the lot.

Yes, he does.

Except for under 21, Hogan and Andy Merrigan.

Which leaves minor and senior (as a substitute) All-Irelands.

Most impressive.

the standard as a whole is far better, there is no denying that. And vocational football means more to people outside it  ???

Harold Disgracey

Brian Murphy is the only player to have won AI medals in minor, u21 & senior grades in both football & hurling. He has also won All-Ireland medals with Coláiste Chriost Rí & Nemo Rangers.

As far as I know MFR is the most decorated player to have ever played. When you include all levels.

read that somewhere before, really hard to see how too many players could match that

not a bad haul ss.

I would have bet good money on Mc Nicholl having won an all ireland U-21 but there ya go. I stand corrected. And by the way there is very little difference in U-19 Vocational schools Inter- county and Mac Rory / Hogan.

muppet

Down minors won the AI in 1987 and the Senior in 1991 & 1994. Colmans won the Hogan in 1986 and again in 1988. Burren won the AI Club in 1986 & 1987.

Did any one player get a Hogan, Club, Minor & Senior out of those teams?

Don't think so, the most probable one would be James but dont think he won the Club. Was he at Burren at that stage?

Certainly not and much more impressive than mine. However, 'tis largely irrelevant to the original question and my original post is both correct and relevant.

Good to see the use of terms like "Runners-up" and "?" in Wikipedia.

No not for a good few years after that, still with Tullylish. Didn't win anything of note with Burren I think.
