Many thanks to everyone who has supported us it should be a really good night.

Would take care that punters don't try to arrive in with fake tickets.

Went to one previously at the Armagh City Hotel (not the rumble in the jungle) but people were arriving in with fake tickets all over the place.

Good luck for this one.

Ah delighted, went nearly perfect. Bar one very, very minor scuffle there was no bother all night. Relief as there was some effort went in. Thanks to anyone on the board who made the trip. Any feedback Camloughlad etc, more on what we could have improved on rather than praise?

RTE showed up, we didn't know they were coming, and I think it went out live on the radio. As I say I didn't know, I would have made you all aware of that. BBC, Belfast Telegraph etc also present.

First fight of the night was Shane Carroll and Cathal Fegan, two locals. Shane won after a really good contest.

Next was Rory Beaver McKeever and Ultan McDonald. Rory won after one of the best indivdual showings of the night. He put in some training.

The third yokel, sorry local, fight was between Cathal ONeill and Ferghal Murphy. A draw was the oputcome here after Cathal showed well in the first and Murphy in the last.

Dan McCartan and Mick O'Rourke were next up. Dan got the decision, a very narrow win.

I think Aidan Carr and Shane O'Neill were up next. Shane probably had the longest reach of all the boxers and it showed as he comfortably won.

Next, I think, was Vincey Martin and Colm Begley. The crowd were really looking forward to this and Vincey deservedly got the nod. This won fight of the night and if you get the dvd, keep an eye out for the uppercut Vince lands.

Barry Shannon and McGourty were next. Needless to say Shannon had a lot of support and he won with a wee bit to spare. He looked very sharp.

Kevin Dyas and Gerard O'Kane were next. Plenty of Derry support in. O'Kane fared better than most expected but Kevin deservedly got the nod. He also won fighter of the night.

Pat McEnaney was scheduled to fight Colm Coyle next. Coyle injured himself in training during the week, so Pat fought one of the boys he spars with. The other boy won on points.

The main event was a solid bout, with a bit of needle throughout as the crowd pumped up the volume. O'Rourke boxed clever and won on points.

A big thank you to all who supported the event.

Have to disagree with the McGourty decision - he was the agressor right the way through and fought well. I thought he actually shaded it or it was a draw!
I think he was the only man to fight southpaw on the night which was interesting - is he left handed?

Great night was had, all went smoothly and the whole thing didn't drag on as per one of the ones I had been to previously. Fair play to all. Was impressed by O'Kane in his fight v Dyas. Fair play to him. Dyas is a hulk of a man.

Congratulations on the night. There had been rumours flating around that over 10,000 tickets had been sold so while pretty packed it wasn't that bad!

Didn't get to it but heard it was a great night's value. Judging by the clip below there looked to be a great atmosphere at it...
