Lads for a Christmas present I was wanting to personalise a plain bodhran by putting a county crest on it or, the county name as gaeilge in celtic calligraphy.

Is there a way to do this, without simply painting it on.  I'm not really a computer buff so I'm not entirely sure what is and isnt possible to do.

I got one of those for my birthday a few years back, out of some shop in Belfast, i'll try and find out the name of it for you,

Why would you want to ruin a good bodhran by doing that to it?

Was thinking of getting the girlfriend a bodhran for xmas too.  Had wondered if it would be possible to get her family crest or something on it.  Any advice would be great

You might be better buy it in a shop rather than online to have a look at it first

This one nearly made me sick in my mouth

I had the same idea for a Christmas present, you can get them made by a man called Malachy Kearns in Galway and get it shipped up.  I just emailed a design that I wanted on the Bodhran.  Am sure that he will already have some with the County crests on it tho..

Just ordered from Malachy Kearns (http://www.bodhran.com/index2.htm)

The guy in Ballycastle (http://www.irishbodhrans.com/cgi-bin/olscgi?cgi_req=102|19|2) was cheaper but Kearns is highly recommended so i'm going with that

Thanks Alco Pup
