Ulster Herald - Yellow bed

I was reading the terrible article in this morning's Ulster Herald about a series of child abuse during the 70s at a school in Tyrone. The children there lived in terror, known as 'Yellow Bed'.

What's yellow bed and does anyone know anything about this awful time?

well i can only imagine that it relates to the children wetting the bed because of said terror. could be wrong but it seems rather obvious.
