The grand final of the Premier Song Competition takes place this Saturday night, May 23rd in the Premier Hall, Thurles starting at 8pm sharp. The 9 qualifying songs have been chosen at this stage and all will perform live on Saturday night. There will also be entertainment provided by some of Tipperary's best Scór performers and the Tipperary Senior Hurling panel. The nine qualifying songs are A) Pride in the Jersey, composed by Mark and Denis Carey of Newport; B) The Mighty Blue and Gold, composed by Seamus Doran of Roscrea; C) Proud Tiobraid Árann composed by Finbarr O'Reailly of Cahir; D) The Blue and Gold composed by Paul Ryan of Roscrea; E) Tipperary, The Blue and Gold composed by Éanán Patterson of Dublin; F) Premier Men by Kevin Gleeson and John Flynn of Cashel; G) The Mascot by Nick McCarthy and Elco Beckers of Bansha; H) Tipperary Abú by Ken Horne and Elco Beckers of Clonmel and I) Rambling through Tipperary by Eamonn Butler of Templederry. Tickets at €10 each are available from all Tipperary GAA clubs, Lár na Páirce Thurles (0504 22702) and Tipp FM Clonmel (052 25299). A great night's entertainment is guaranteed so make sure to book your tickets as soon as possible.
