Complacency will do for Tyrone.

Genuinely think Tyrone are homed and hosed at this stage.  No team has the footballing ability to beat them nor the proven tactical knowledge on the line.  If they are likely to lose it will in similar style to the Derry game last year and they will be far better equipped to deal wuth such an ambush this year.

Well done Tyrone 03,05 and 07.

I am being serious.

I know what SS is at here. Ye see, Antrim play their Tommy Eddie Murphy Cooper Cup final as the warm-up game to Tyrone's quarter final. SS knows that the entire Tyrone panel and support reads this board. His words will have a double whammy effect. A bird in the bush and all that. Tyrone'll now will Antrim to the hilt, lending vociferous support to their cause, such were SS's kind words. It'll inspire  the Saffrons over the line to victory and bonfires will be blazing in Portglenone and Kennedy Way behind Goodfellas. However Every rose Has Its Thorn as Poison sang wonderfully so many years ago. Tyrone will now be cocky beyond belief and will already be focusing on a fourth All-Ireland in 2009. They will take their eye off the ball and Cork will whup them. That'll mean that Antrim were the big winners that day in Croker, having nabbed one more senior national title than Tyrone in 2007. A clever ruse.

I wouldn't be surprised if SS returns to the song mentioned in this diatribe to sum up his effect on the Tyrone support after the Rebel massacre:

Was it something I said or something I did
Did my words not come out right
Though I tried not to hurt you
Though I tried
But I guess thats why they say

Chorus:
Every rose has its thorn
Just like every night has its dawn
Just like every cowboy sings his sad, sad song
Every rose has its thorn

Yea, it does.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Yep Kerry's to lose.

People are saying Tyrone are 'home and hosed', ridiculous.

Why did Tyrone beat Kerry in 2005? In my opinion, the difference between two fairly even matched sides was the Tyrone had the better scoring forwards. In 2007 Tyrone are without Canavan and McGuigan, and O'Neill is nowhere approaching the form of that year due to persistent injuries. Meanwhile Kerry have added Donaghy to their equation and have MFR back in form.

Maybe the only plus is that Kerry have a new man on the line and Tyrone still have Harte.

Not so sure lads, The kingdom are after all missing McCarthy and the horse and imo have not been replaced, huge loss!

Seriously Kerry are hot favourites to win SDam in my book with Cork a close second.  At this stage I would have Dublin ahead of Tyrone, I just dont think we are firing right at all.  Bar the game against Donegal Tyrone ahve been very lacklustre in 2007.

Masters was interviewed on TV3 last night and came out with the classic complacency giveaway - "we certainly won't be taking Louth for granted". Clang clang clang go the alarm bells every time you hear that. Of course it always means the exact opposite of what it says - otherwise why would the thought even enter your head, if you're focussed on beating a dangerous opponent as you should be? It means that at some level of consciousness, you have the thought that your opponents are somehow not as good as you and there's reason to underestimate them. If this insidious stuff is inside the Cork heads, the Wee Men have a chance.

Master's words said one thing. His facial expression said:

"Louth??...........never heard of them"
;D

Kerry Mike

Cork may be a bit complacent but there is the guts of a very good team there, they have big men all down the middle of the field and if they start winning enough ball around the middle they will cause Louth all sorts of trouble. But its championshaip and anything can happen on any given day.

This isnt original, but I fancy Cork as much as I fancy Kerry and Tyrone.  Cork are a sleeping giant in football, they now have the team and an all ireland winning coach.  If they get beyond the quarter final they are going to take some stopping.  Tyron3 must have played 10 matches this year so far in Nat league and Championship.  I have only been impressed once.  We miss Mc Guigna too much, have no f/b and midfield on its day struggles.
