1. Kerry v Galway - Just an incredible display of football in horrendous conditions.
2. Kerry v Tyrone -  Not a classic but still a better final than most.
3. Tyrone v Down - Only saw the extended highlights of this one but a very good game of football.

If you only saw extended highlights you cant comment. More merit in that I attended all the games on my selection excpet Munster Final which I saw in full on TV.

Congratulations. Have a biscuit for yourself.

You can't comment? Surely it's opinion, and GBB's opinion is as valid as anybody else's. The ball is in play for an average of 35 minutes or less during a game, so extended highlights might be as much action as actually took place.

I thought there was plenty of good games this year.

Kerry and Cork gave us three classics, for pure drama and emotion though I'd have to give it to Kerry v Cork in the semi.

For footballing quality Kerry v Galway takes second spot this year imo.

That said, Tyrone and Kerry must both be applauded for giving us an entertaining final.

Not sure they'd be worthy of being called classics to be honest. First game in Munster, Kerry were walking away with it at half-time and collapsed completely in the second. First game in CP Kerry were walking away with it in a very one-sided second half until Cork scored two goals virtually in injury-time. The third game was probably the best of the three in that it was a bit more even until Kerry pulled away near the end.

For me def. has to Down v tyrone in Newry,
that game had everything! Virtually went score for score for 60mins then Down pulled away, then out of nowhere tommy mc guigan empties 3 points in about 2mins, goes to extra time tyrone then go 3 up! only for Benny to sneak in for a goal and sets up the win! some great scores in 2nd half by both teams too, and the atmosphere in a packed Marshes was lethal and was the weather all made it a cracker!

The intensity of the down tyrone replay was unbeatable, exhilerating football. kerry and galway was a joy to watch, the match displayed the fine art of football at its best

Kerry v Galway is an obvious favourite, but I really enjoyed the Donegal v Monaghan game in Ballybofey - good hard hitting and some great scoring.

I thought the Ulster championship was dire and very negative this year, although I didnt see the Tyrone/Down games.

Best game for me in terms of the quality of football played was Kerry Galway.

Performance of the year was Tyrone v Dublin, blew them away and played a great style of football that day too.

But game of the year was yesterday's final, I was nervous come the last quarter, and Im neutral. It was riveting to watch.

Funny the 2 lads saying it was a poor Championship are Dublin lads

To say it was poor is absolutely no slight on Tyrone.

It was an avergae Championship. Some suprb games and some dour games. There have very few stand-out Championships in the last ten years. It ranks probably in the top half of the last ten years.

Lads, that's the way it has been every year since the GAA started. Certainly every year since I can remember watching games, and that's nigh on 30 years at this stage. There's always good games, average games and shite games. I wouldn't say this has been a great championship, or a poor championship, but there's very few 'great' championships that I can recall.

Well said. The current trend is to say "Yeah it was a good match, but there were a lot of mistakes." What the hell do people want? It's almost a sign of "ones" lack of sophistication if you say "that was a great game of football" after a game that had you on the edge of your seat. Too many Johnny Giles wannabe's out there for my liking.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Ulster championship was dire? fermanagh derry was a good saturday nights entertainment i thought. tyrone did put on the display of the year against the dubs

Enjoyed (as a neutral) the Fermanagh comeback versus Armagh in the Ulster final. Maybe no classic, but in terms of excitement pure class. A few seconds longer and Fermanagh would have been Ulster champions for the first time. Real David V Goliath stuff.
